As autumn approaches and the year winds down, the voices that once defined an era are rising again. Live Nation Urban has announced the “Room 112 Tour,” an intimate theater run celebrating the 30th anniversary of Grammy-winning R&B group 112.
The tour—spanning 19 dates across the U.S.—kicks off this fall and will bring 112’s smooth harmonies to cities like Detroit, Brooklyn, Chicago, Dallas, Las Vegas, and Philadelphia. Los Angeles fans can mark their calendars for January 23, 2026, when the group takes the stage at YouTube Theater.
Joining them on the road are fellow R&B icons Total and Case, artists who, like 112, helped shape the sound of the mid-’90s.
Originally a high school quintet called Forte, the group’s members met while attending school in Atlanta. The group consisted of Daron Jones, Michael Keith, Reginald Finley, Aldon Lagon, and Marvin Scandrick. They performed at local talent shows, churches, and schools until they were discovered by producers Tim & Bob, and later, record executive Kevin Wales. He helped the group audition for Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs at Atlanta’s Club 112, where they impressed Combs and eventually signed to his Bad Boy Records label. The group, now a quartet with the addition of Quinnes Parker, changed their name to 112 in honor of the club where they auditioned.
Their debut album, 112, was released in 1996 and went double platinum with hits like “Only You” and “Cupid.” They continued to achieve success with their next two albums, Room 112 (1998) and Part III (2001), which spawned hits like “Love Me” and “Peaches & Cream.” After a split from Bad Boy Records, the group signed with Def Jam in 2002. They released two more albums, Hot & Wet (2003) and Pleasure & Pain (2005), before taking a hiatus to pursue solo projects. The original four members of 112 reunited in 2017 to release their sixth studio album, Q, Mike, Slim, Daron. The album was their first in 12 years and featured the single “Both of Us” with fellow R&B group Jagged Edge. However, shortly after its release, internal issues arose once again, leading to a split. By 2019, the group was operating as a duo consisting of Michael “Mike” Keith and Marvin “Slim” Scandrick, with Quinnes “Q” Parker and Daron Jones pursuing separate paths.
As a duo, Mike and Slim have continued to tour and release new music. In 2020, they put out the EP Forever, which included the singles “Spend It All” and “For Us.” Despite the changes in the group’s lineup, the members have continued to perform and celebrate their legacy. In late 2025, they are scheduled to embark on the “Room 112 Tour” to commemorate their 30th anniversary, with the four original members making an appearance on the tour, alongside Total and Case.
Smooth Grooves – Intimate Settings
Unlike large arena tours, Room 112 is designed for intimate venues, creating a closer connection between artist and audience. Select shows will also offer VIP experiences—including meet-and-greets, photo ops, autographed posters, and exclusive memorabilia—giving longtime fans the chance to step inside the world of 112 like never before.
The timing of the tour is no accident: August 2025 marked the 30-year anniversary of 112’s debut self-titled album, released in August 1996. The record introduced their signature blend of harmony and romance, instantly etching the group into the fabric of R&B. The addition of Total and Case, who also debuted in 1996, makes this more than a concert series—it’s a collective celebration of an entire generation of music.
Behind it all is Live Nation Urban, co-founded by Shawn Gee, a cornerstone of R&B and hip-hop live entertainment.
