Bodies & Beats producer and creative director Nicolette Spear has created a galactic nightlife experience where body painting, electronic music, and live performance merge into a single interactive work of art.
In a recent collaboration with Art Walk News – Alien Invasion, held in conjunction with Art Night in DTLA, Nicolette’s live body painting exhibit stopped visitors cold in their tracks.
During the Art Walk News event, her creation, KIKI the Alien, appeared genetically altered by the cosmos, bathed in fluorescent body paint and luminescent beneath an ultraviolet backdrop presented by famed local black light artist Debi Cable.
The immersive installation blended living art, neon color, music, and performance, giving attendees a sneak preview of what awaits when Bodies & Beats brings its full production, GALACTIC GLOW, to Hollywood on Saturday, July 25.
When Bodies & Beats presents GALACTIC GLOW: An Immersive Alien Black Light Experience at Casita Hollywood, the venue will be transformed into a glowing extraterrestrial landscape where ultraviolet lighting, live body painting, immersive performers, and electronic music combine into an interactive environment unlike a traditional nightclub.
Every ticket includes one complimentary medium-sized face or body painting accent from a curated team of ten professional body painters, allowing every guest to become part of the artwork.
Organizers encourage attendees to arrive dressed in “Cosmic Chic” attire featuring neon colors, UV-reactive fabrics, or crisp white clothing to maximize the dramatic black light effects throughout the evening.
“We are transforming Casita Hollywood into a glowing, neon-drenched alien landscape,” said Spear. “This is the ultimate fusion of electronic music, live body art, and deep-space vibes. We want our guests to fully immerse themselves in the theme and literally glow together on the dance floor.”
Adding to the immersive atmosphere are interactive performers presented in collaboration with Wildfire Arts Entertainment. Professional body painters spend nearly three hours transforming dancers into elaborate living canvases before they take the floor as fully painted alien beings.
Throughout the evening, guests will encounter contortionists, flow artists, and interactive performers whose temporary works of art disappear forever when the paint is washed away at the end of the night.
Providing the soundtrack for the interstellar journey is a lineup of electronic music artists that builds throughout the evening. Otter Limits opens the night from 9:00 to 10:00 p.m. with deep-space grooves and liftoff frequencies. Kitch N’ Sync takes over from 10:00 to 11:00 p.m. with an energetic house music set before Loomer commands the dance floor from 11:00 p.m. until 12:30 a.m. The evening concludes with headliner DIVADANIELLE, whose signature late-night dance floor sound will carry the party from 12:30 until 2:00 a.m.
Space aboard the “mothership” is limited, and organizers expect the event to sell out. Those interested are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance to guarantee admission.
Visitors who missed the Art Walk preview—or those ready for another encounter—may have another opportunity to cross paths with KIKI the Alien. Bodies & Beats is expected to make another landing at the Art Walk News Launch Event on August 6, bringing its signature blend of glowing body art, immersive performance, and extraterrestrial creativity back to the streets of Downtown Los Angeles.

GALACTIC GLOW takes place Saturday, July 25, from 9:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m. at Casita Hollywood, 1323 Highland Avenue in Hollywood. The event is open to guests 21 and over. Parking options include free street meters after 8:00 p.m., on-site parking, and paid valet service.
