Carter Faith has quickly become one of country music’s most exciting new artists, earning widespread acclaim for her ability to blend heartfelt storytelling with cinematic songwriting. Her debut album, Cherry Valley, introduced listeners to a world filled with vivid characters, emotional twists, and unapologetic honesty, establishing the North Carolina native as an authentic new voice in Nashville.
Released in 2025, Cherry Valley received praise from critics across the music industry, appearing on year-end best album lists from Billboard, NPR, The Hollywood Reporter, and Rolling Stone, which named it one of the 100 Best Albums of 2025 across all genres. The album’s colorful aesthetic and deeply personal songwriting reflect Faith’s unique artistic vision while showcasing her ability to turn life’s highs and lows into memorable country anthems.
Faith’s journey began when she left North Carolina for Nashville in 2018 with a dream of building a career as a songwriter. Inspired by artists like Kacey Musgraves and Eric Church, she committed herself to creating music that remained true to her own experiences. Rather than chasing trends, she embraced vulnerability and fearless storytelling, believing that the strongest songs come from taking creative risks.
Those risks have paid off. Faith has spent the past year performing both intimate headline shows and major arena dates alongside Post Malone, bringing the world of Cherry Valley to audiences across the country. Songs including “Betty,” “Changed,” “If I Had Never Lost My Mind…,” and “Sex, Drugs, & Country Music” highlight her gift for weaving together heartbreak, humor, resilience, and unforgettable characters into performances that feel both cinematic and deeply personal.
Despite her growing success, Faith continues to embrace the independent spirit that carried her from college songwriter to one of country music’s brightest rising stars.
“I’ve been working at this since I was in college. I never needed big budgets, only belief in my convictions. I know how to do things scrappy,” Faith said. “That’s how I’ve been raised. In Cherry Valley, I’m the leader of this and I’m going to make it happen. So, you’re just going to have to get onboard.”
The GRAMMY Museum’s Spotlight: Carter Faith program will feature a conversation moderated by The Hollywood Reporter’s Ethan Millman, followed by a special live performance. The event takes place Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. inside the Clive Davis Theater at the GRAMMY Museum at L.A. Live.
