If You’re Not a Fan of K-pop You Will Be! Once SEVENTEEN Takes Over with US Tour & Citywide Immersive Experience


Global K-pop powerhouse SEVENTEEN is returning to Los Angeles with a vastly scaled-up version of their signature fan-centric project, ‘SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] THE CITY LOS ANGELES’ (THE CITY LA).

Timed to their two-night BMO Stadium concerts, this nine-day event will run from October 11–19, with SEVENTEEN transforming Los Angeles into a “living map” with activations spanning every corner.


The interactive fan journey includes stays, experiences, merchandise, and food and beverage collaborations with major partnerships with AirbnbLA Metro and WaymoUniversal Studios Hollywood and the Santa Monica Pier, ensuring fans who want to immerse themselves in the celebration can freely explore.

A Reason to Celebrate

Celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, the K-pop icon have blazed a new trail of reinvention with their 5th Studio Album HAPPY BURSTDAY, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, tying their highest record on the chart.

The thirteen members—S. COUPS, JEONGHAN, JOSHUA, JUN, HOSHI, WONWOO, WOOZI, THE 8, MINGYU, DK, SEUNGKWAN, VERNON, and DINO—have rocketed to the forefront of the music scene fueled by a fiercely independent spirit and a nonpareil in-house creative ecosystem.

The elevated content and experiences are designed to connect fans more deeply to both the artists and the city of Los Angeles.

The immersive event includes several highlights. The Airbnb Originals experiences are a major draw, featuring a pre-show welcome party, “Celebrate SVT with Dumbfoundead and friends” on October 15, hosted by Korean-American rapper Dumbfoundead and featuring SEVENTEEN’s music. Fans can also participate in a K-pop dance class, “Move like SEVENTEEN with choreographer Alexa Woo (Lex)”, or get beauty tips with celebrity K-pop stylist Jessica Song in “Glam up for SEVENTEEN with a Ssooniestyle stylist”.

The celebration will extend to city landmarks, with a SEVENTEEN Singalong Party hosted on October 14 at 4 PM at Universal Studios Hollywood’s Universal CityWalk, complete with special lighting in SEVENTEEN’s signature Rose Quartz and Serenity colors.

The iconic Pacific Wheel Lighting at Santa Monica Pier will also display lights in the group’s theme on October 15-17.

For convenient travel, Waymo is offering fans discount coupons to facilitate exploration of the event’s multiple touch points. Extending the group’s reputation for concerts that bring everyone along for the fun, the city itself will turn into an interactive canvas, inviting fans to connect with SEVENTEEN while also engaging with the local community.

Merchandise will be available at two pop-up locations: the Complex LA Pop-up on October 11-13, featuring Complex-exclusive pieces, limited-edition merchandise, and official albums; and an Official Merch Pop-Up in Koreatown from October 4 – November 16.

The event will also include Themed Food and Drink Collaborations with six popular food and beverage brands: Old Ferry Donut, Ahgassi Gopchang, It’s Boba Time, BAEKJEONG, Wanderlust Creamery, and Melo Melo, all of which will feature SEVENTEEN-themed menus.

Even public transit is involved, with LA Metro displaying ‘SEVENTEEN THE CITY LA’ posters on 157 digital screens across 55 subway stations from October 16-19.

This year, SEVENTEEN will kick off ‘SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] IN U.S.’ next month in Tacoma, WA (October 11), followed by stops in Los Angeles, CA (October 16 & 17), Austin, TX (October 21 & 22), Sunrise, FL (October 26 & 27), and concluding in Washington, DC (October 29 & 30).
