Stay Healthy DTLA Welcomes New Health Hop LA Regional Expansion

For a decade, the start of the year has been defined by the arrival of the DT Weekly’s Annual Stay Healthy DTLA campaign. As the primary source for news of downtown LAs best health and lifestyle spots, this signature edition of our paper has guided the community through a city-wide shift toward total renewal every January.

As we prepare our landmark 10th Anniversary Issue, we are proud to announce that the movement is undergoing a massive evolution. While we continue to deliver our definitive “Stay Healthy” editorials and exclusive Healthy column for the area, we are expanding an interactive app “Health Hop LA”.

Formerly a local guide, the movement has officially expanded covering a vast wellness network across both Los Angeles and neighboring cities.

.While Downtown LA remains our foundation, the expansion is a direct response to a flourishing interest we have received from neighboring cities following the momentum into Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Korea town, Pasadena, West Hollywood and Woodland Hills to start, with a scheduled launch of the Official app in mid-January.

The app invites all to take the Health Hop LA challenge, connecting participants to nutritional cornerstones like the sophisticated organic cuisine at Au Lac, the high-intensity training at John Reed Fitness, and the wellness expertise of the likes of Coach Kwon.

The Health Hop LA app transforms our annual directory into a gamified, self-guided tour that rewards users for staying active. Participants begin by building a personalized 5×5 digital wellness card, choosing 25 favorite businesses from a directory of over 100 participating locations across our new multi-city network.

After visiting a spot—whether it’s a recovery session at Infrared Studio or a stop at Naturewell— simply upload a photo or share a social media post tagging @DTLAWeekly and #HealthHopLA to verify the visit.

For a monthly subscription of $4.99, users unlock exclusive coupon offers and compete for prizes. Completing rows horizontally, vertically, or diagonally wins you rewards, while finishing all 25 squares enters you into a monthly grand prize drawing.

As users progress through your month, the app tracks their journey with exclusive digital badges earning them achievements.
