After 25 years rooted in California, Dynasty Entertainment made its boldest move yet—taking REUNION out of state for the first time. On Sunday, August 10, 2025, the company staged the 25th Anniversary of REUNION: A Dynasty Homecoming at Joe’s Live in Rosemont, Illinois. The decision was daring because it meant leaving the community that had sustained them for decades, testing whether Dynasty’s mix of Filipino American music, culture, and cause-driven celebration could resonate in a city 2,000 miles away.
For the late co-founder, AC Lorenzo, Dynasty was always more than a production company—it is a movement built on family, faith, and the preservation of Filipino American artistry. A visionary who was also a former member of the pioneering R&B group KAI, Lorenzo’s legacy is now carried forward by the company and the AC Lorenzo Music Scholarship Fund, which was established after his untimely passing.
The fund honors his immense contributions to the Filipino American music scene by supporting the next generation of artists and ensuring the preservation of the history he helped create. From backyard stages in California to large-scale productions, Dynasty continues to carry his legacy forward, proving that his passion for Filipino American artistry lives on.

Chicago, however, offered something new: a chance to connect with one of the country’s largest Filipino American communities, whose history stretches back generations of nurses, laborers, and students who made their lives in the Midwest. Dynasty’s arrival became both a homecoming and an expansion, bridging two hubs of Filipino pride.

A California Dream, Realized in Chicago
The leap was rewarded. REUNION merged West Coast ambition with Midwest grit, while raising funds for the AC Lorenzo Music Scholarship Fund, supporting young musicians and Filipino American music history, and for Bata Sole, a Chicago nonprofit that provides footwear to underserved youth in the Philippines. “It felt like we brought a piece of California to Chicago,” one guest said, “but Chicago added its own soul to it.”
The Soundtrack of Legacy
Music told the story. The Pacifics opened with rhymes that set a block-party tone, followed by Chicago’s Warren Rigg, who led the crowd in soulful Filipino ballads. A surprise set by Chicago legend Fast Eddie capped with his hit “Booty Call,” igniting the dance floor.

Headliners brought the weight of history. Jocelyn Enriquez, the first Filipina American solo artist signed to a major label, reclaimed her title as the “Freestyle Queen” with songs like “Do You Miss Me.” KAI, the pioneering Filipino American R&B/pop group, returned after 15 years to shower fans with roses before closing with their signature “Say You’ll Stay.” Together, they embodied Dynasty’s mission: to celebrate Filipino American music as both legacy and living force.
Why It Mattered

REUNION has always been about more than nostalgia—it’s about connection across generations. By choosing Chicago for its 25th anniversary, Dynasty showed why this was a bold step: expanding its vision beyond California, investing in another Filipino stronghold, and proving that its heartbeat can travel.
The night ended not with a question, but with momentum. Dynasty took its first step beyond state lines—and now, the stage is set for where they go next.
