This summer, the world’s biggest monster trucks are storming into downtown Los Angeles as the Monster Jam Summer Series takes over Crypto.com Arena from July 17 through July 19, delivering one of the wildest weekends of live entertainment SoCal will see all year.
For three days, the arena will transform into a dirt-covered battleground where 12,000-pound trucks launch into the air, balance on two wheels, crash, flip, race, and somehow keep going. It’s the kind of event where screaming is encouraged, engines shake the building, and every few minutes the crowd collectively loses its mind.
And honestly, that’s exactly why people keep coming back.
There’s loud in DTLA, and then there’s Monster Jam loud in DTLA.
Monster Jam has built a global fanbase because no two shows are ever the same. The action is unscripted, unpredictable, and fueled by drivers who treat gravity more like a suggestion than an actual law of physics. One second a truck is flying across the arena, and the next it’s somehow standing vertically on two wheels while the crowd erupts around it.
One Summer Series to Rule Them All

Fans can expect nonstop competition across three signature events. Racing puts drivers head-to-head in speed battles through tight dirt tracks and jumps. 2-Wheel Skills showcases balance, precision, and ridiculous stunt control. Freestyle is where things truly get insane, as drivers throw strategy out the window and attempt massive air, technical tricks, and destructive saves that feel impossible for vehicles this size.
What makes Monster Jam different from traditional motorsports is that the audience actually helps decide the winner. Fans score drivers live throughout the event, meaning every save, jump, and crash can shift the championship standings in real time.
Meet the Trucks and the Drivers
This year’s lineup is stacked with some of the biggest trucks and most recognizable drivers in the sport. Five-time Arena Series Champion Weston Anderson returns behind the wheel of the legendary Grave Digger, one of the most iconic monster trucks ever built and still one of the loudest crowd favorites in the building.
Fans will also get to see El Toro Loco celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2026 with driver MJ Solorio behind the wheel. Add in fan-favorite Sparkle Smash driven by Chelsea VanCleave, plus trucks like ThunderROARus, Jurassic Attack, and Velociraptor, and the weekend starts looking less like a sporting event and more like controlled destruction with giant tires.
The Energy and the Chaos

The energy inside Crypto.com Arena is expected to be massive, especially during the evening shows when the lights drop, engines fire up, and the trucks start flying through the dirt under arena spotlights. Even people who’ve never watched Monster Jam before tend to leave completely hooked after seeing it live.
That’s because Monster Jam isn’t really about understanding motorsports. It’s about feeling it.
Feel it in your chest when the trucks hit the throttle. Feel it when the arena shakes during a landing. Feel it when thousands of fans jump to their feet after a save that looked impossible. Kids lose their minds. Adults turn into kids again. And for a few hours, everyone in the building is fully locked into the chaos happening in front of them.
Showtime!
The event schedule includes five separate performances across the weekend. Friday, July 17 features a show at 7:30 PM. Saturday, July 18 has performances at 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Sunday, July 19 wraps up with shows at 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
For Los Angeles fans looking for a weekend that’s loud, explosive, and completely over-the-top, Monster Jam might be the easiest summer plan of the year.
