Downtown’s Union Station is an architectural masterpiece often called “the last of the great train stations” and is the largest railroad passenger terminal in the Western United States. Since opening in 1939, this 52-acre hub, designed in the Mission Moderne style (blending Spanish Colonial, Mission Revival, and Art Deco), has been a vital portal to the California Dream. It stands as an iconic landmark in Downtown Los Angeles, connecting the city’s past to the present through transit, arts, culture, and community.
