Deck the Halls! The time has come once again to celebrate Downtown’s holiday festivities with the crowning of The Great Tree!
Every year, Downtown Los Angeles glows with holiday cheer, from our luxurious lofts, hotels, plazas, and shopping centers. Now is the time to show our appreciation for their efforts and call attention to these festive places. Competing corporate participants must ensure their tree meets the highest standards of holiday cheer and ingenuity to earn this coveted title of The Great Tree!
How to win!!!

To maximize visibility and appeal to both voters and judges, participating elves are encouraged to think outside the box. Adding interactive aspects that engage the audience, such as moving elements, sound, or touch-sensitive components, can greatly increase a tree’s total vote count. Giant props, holiday-themed characters, and creatively gift-wrapped presents also enhance the tree’s standing in the competition. Most importantly, whether it’s a vintage-inspired, a minimalist design, electric steel, or something entirely unexpected, originality is the absolute key to winning the judges’ favor.
A Fresh New App for Voting in All Categories

The Great Tree Finale is coming soon! Trees are also given individual recognition for sub-categories such as Best Star, Best Lights, and Best Snow, among other special mentions. The Great Tree will undoubtedly be a strong candidate in every category.
The winners, including The Great Tree and all sub-category recipients—which in the past have included Park Fifth, Hope and Faith, and the Spring Arcade—will be announced in a comprehensive round-up announcement on all social media channels on Christmas Day 2025!

Last year, the Music Center Plaza took home the grand title and The Great Tree will reign until Dec 2026, unless it wins again, as LA Kings Holiday Ice Rink at LA Live did back in 2016-17, before Union Station Garden Wonderland took the crown in 2018.
