Downtown LA Chefs to Unite for a Good Cause at Upcoming 2023 Masters of Taste

Downtown LA is known for its vibrant culinary scene. Soon some of our very own top chefs will joining forces to help end homeless.

Masters of Taste 2023: A Premier Outdoor Food and Beverage Festival Benefiting Union Station Homeless Services

Los Angeles food and beverage enthusiasts, get ready for the sixth annual Masters of Taste! On Sunday, April 2nd, 2023, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, the iconic Pasadena Rose Bowl field will be transformed into a luxury outdoor food and beverage festival. The event is set to attract over 3,000 guests and will feature over 100 culinary masters and restaurants, sweet masters, beverage masters, wineries, craft breweries, live entertainment, and much more.

But Masters of Taste is not just about indulging in the finest fare and libations; it’s also an opportunity to give back to the community. 100% of the proceeds from this year’s event will directly benefit Union Station Homeless Services, a non-profit organization celebrating 50 years of providing homeless services and housing for thousands of neighbors.

Masters of Taste 2023 will be hosted by Chef Michael Reed and Kwini Reed, marking the 6th anniversary of this celebrated event. Chef Reed is a classically trained chef and restaurateur, co-owner, and executive chef behind two Los Angeles restaurants, Poppy + Rose, and has spent 19 years as a chef for restaurants across New York and Los Angeles.

This year’s list of participating Downtown culinary masters and restaurants include Poppy + Rose, Champion’s Curry, City Club Los Angeles, Marlou, Pez Cantina, and Smoke City Char Bar. Sweet Masters will showcase an assortment of delectable desserts, while top Beverage Masters will feature signature handcrafted cocktail tastings from over 25 spirit brands and top cocktail bars, as well as select wineries, local craft breweries, cold-pressed juices, cold brew coffee, and more.

Masters of Taste has raised over $2.7 Million in support of Union Station Homeless Services life-saving programs. By attending this year’s event, you can make a difference in the lives of the unsheltered and very low-income adults and families across the San Gabriel Valley.

Masters of Taste 2023 is a 100% outdoor event, and all guests will receive their own utensils and hand sanitizer to use throughout the event. This year’s event is a 21+ event, and VIP Power Hour will be held from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm, followed by General Admission from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Guests are encouraged to utilize car services like Lyft, Uber, Taxi, etc., as the event serves alcoholic beverages and is for those over 21. Complimentary parking is also available at the Rose Bowl.
