Is your helmet snug? Are your gloves and cycling shoes on tight? Is your bike prepped and ready to roll? Great! It’s time for BikeLA to fire up its fourth annual LA BikeFest Fundraiser Happy Hour and Celebration.
BikeLA, formerly known as the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition, is LA’s Pedal-Powered Happy Hour Fundraising Celebration, that brings together everyone from the daily commuter to the weekend warrior and every two-wheeled fan in between.

The event is going down at Highland Park Brewery, just a quick roll from the Chinatown Metro station. Tickets in advance are $25 per person, or $35 at the door if there’s space, for ages 5 and up. Although tickets hooks participants up with free bike valet, one complimentary beer or non-alcoholic drink, a commemorative sky blue BikeLA bandana, and entry into their biggest-ever bike-themed silent auction, participants will have to be 21 order older to catch a Highland Park Brewery beer buzz. Highland Park Brewery will have extra beer available for purchase at a designated bar, plus they’re putting together a special menu with a vegan options.
Other than that, the afternoon will be buzzing with good vibes and great company as BikeLA unites supporters, local chapter members, and Angelenos who share the passion for transforming Los Angeles into a better place to live and cycle.
The event will also shine a spotlight on the 2025 Spoke Award Honorees, celebrating incredible dedication to making LA a more bikeable region.

First up is Hugo Soto-Martinez, Los Angeles City Councilmember for the 13th District. A lifelong Angeleno, who told DT Weekly, he grew up building and riding his own bikes and has been a fierce community advocate for years.
In 2024, Hugo Soto-Martinez brought his landmark “Access to Hollywood” project to life, which included his first-ever protected bike lanes in Hollywood.
ActiveSGV, another honoree, was founded in 2010 by public health advocates who are relentlessly fighting for safer, greener streets in east Los Angeles. Their impressive track record includes launching Traffic Diversion Programs, organizing regional open streets events like the 626 Golden Streets and ArroyoFest, and building the Merced Avenue Greenway bikeway.

BikeLA also adds a massive shout-out to special partners like Streets are for Everyone (SAFE), who are celebrating their 10th Anniversary aiming for the goal of zero traffic fatalities, and Highland Park Brewery for being incredible hosts for three years running. According to Eli Akira Kaufman, BikeLA’s executive director, “BikeFest is more than a bike celebration — it’s a statement about the kind of Los Angeles we’re building together. Every time someone chooses to ride, they’re choosing cleaner air, safer streets, and stronger connections among our communities. BikeLA exists to make that choice easier for everyone, in every neighborhood, every day.”
A silent auction featuring fantastic gear and accessories from donors like Spurcycle, Patagonia, Yakima, Tern, Road Runner bags, ABUS, Kryptonite, and more will enhance the fundraising portion of the event. The event is fueled by generous sponsors, including Waymo as the Gold Helmet Sponsor, with Silver Helmet Sponsors like Tranzito-Vector, Bicycle Transit Systems, and Lyft. Bronze Helmet Sponsors include the Laemmle Charitable Foundation, Lime, and Serve Robotics. For more information and tickets, visit www.la-bike.org
