DTLA Are You Hungry? Pizza City Fest is Coming to LA LIVE

DTLA pizza lovers, join DTLA Weekly at the ultimate pizza experience coming to L.A. LIVE on April 29th, 2023. The Pizza City Fest is a first-of-its-kind event that will bring together the best pizza makers from Southern California in one location over two days. And we’re excited to announce that the festival will feature some of the top chefs from Downtown, Boyle Heights, and Echo Park.

The festival promises to be a treat for all your pizza loving senses, with over 40 unique pizzerias showcasing their culinary talents. Attendees can try out pizzas from local favorites Pi’ L.A., Brooklyn Ave. Pizza Co., Cosa Buona, and De La Nonna.

PI^LA’s pizzas stand out. The dough is made from sprouted flour, cured for 72 hours, and mixed with Kombu water. And the pizzas are cut into four-inch squares, Detroit-style, with a crispy burnt-cheese crust that always leave us wanting more.

Pizza City Fest L.A. has assembled an incredible lineup of chefs, authors, and experts who will share both their knowledge and love of pizza in a series of panel discussions and demonstrations through the weekend. Attendees can attend “The Dough Whisperers” to learn the secrets of perfect pan pizza at home, or check out “Building a Pizza Brand” to get some tips on starting your own pizza business.

“The Collab Lab,” is where renowned chefs will surprise DTLA pizza lovers with unique, one-off collaborations with their favorite food artisans, farmers & vendors. It’s a chance to experience the creativity and passion of these chefs firsthand, and DTLA can check out the complete schedule and roster of all panel discussions, and demos coming to The Collab Lab at pizzacityfest.com.

Steve Dolinsky, the creator of Pizza City Fest, has curated a stellar lineup of pizza makers and chefs for this festival, and it promises to be an unforgettable experience. This festival is not just about delicious pizza, but it’s also about showcasing the passion, innovation, and community of great pizza making.

L.A. LIVE, the sports and entertainment district that surrounds Crypto.com Arena and Microsoft Theater, is the perfect location for this festival. It’s the premier destination for live entertainment in Downtown Los Angeles and features sports and music venues, nightclubs, restaurants, a bowling alley, museum, and movie theater.

Bet your last slice, DTLA pizza lovers won’t miss this opportunity to indulge in the best pizza from Southern California. Tickets start at $95.
