Art Walk News was created in 2009 to document the original Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk—the movement that helped establish Gallery Row and turned the Historic Core, stretching toward the edge of the Fashion District, into one of the city’s most recognizable destinations for art, galleries, artists and creative culture.

BRINGING A PIECE OF DOWNTOWN ART WALK BACK HOME

For anyone who remembers the original Downtown Art Walk 2007 – 2020, 7th and Spring needs little explanation.

ART WALK NEWS LAUNCH EVENT: DTLA’S LARGEST ART NIGHT EPICENTER ON 7TH AND SPRING

This is where Gallery Row began. This is where galleries, artists, collectors, downtown regulars and up to 50 thousand curious visitors reunited once a month.

A night that sparked a Downtown renaissance and brought the Old Bank District, Historic Core and LA Fashion District into the light.

That was the magic of the original Art Walk.

Now, after a decade away, Art Walk News is bringing that energy back to the very streets where it all began.
